Biography:
rosi         Rossi Kirilova was born on 02.07.1963 in Sofia. In 1990 she graduated in The Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” specialty “Journalistics”, and in 2004 she obtained her master degree for TV & cinema Arts in The NBU.
         In 1981 she took part in the vocal-instrumental band “Sleda”(“Trace”) and an year later the “trace” which the young blond girl left had been already notable. In 1983 she recorded her first solo songs “Silence” and ”I live for you”.
         In 1984 with the songs “The white river”, “Day and night”, “If he tells me”, Rossi wins not only the aword of the specialists in the jury of the radio competition “Spring”, “XV youngster competition” and X²X multinational festival “Golden Orpheus”, but the sympathies and the heart of the public. The next year she wins two first prizes - “Melody of the year `85”(TV show) with the song “Love forever” and “Spring `85” ( radio competition contest) with the song “Farewell class” which she performs together with Blagovest and Svetoslav Argirovi (music Brother Argirovi, lyrics George Nachev). In 1988 again in the radio competition “Spring”, Rossi Kirilova receives first prize with the song “Something incredible”, which she sings in duet with George Hristov. Their duet quickly wins the sympathies of the many fans of both of the performers. The two of them are awarded with platinum gramophone record of Balkanton for their first album together “Something incredible”.
        Rossi Kirilova was repeatedly announced for Bulgarian “Singer ¹1” in the traditional year chart of the famous show of Bulgarian National Radio “Music stairs” . In 1992 Rossi Kirilova and Panaiot Panaiotov in duet win two first prizes( of the jury and of the public) in Interfest Bitolya (Macedonia). First prize on the song contest”Songs for Sofia” 2003 together with Mimi Ivanova and Vania Kostova with the composition of Razvigor Popov ”Sofia’s limetree fragrance”.. In 2007 Rossi’s composition” Like yes and no” wins the first prize on the song contest “Bugas and the sea” Rossi is the first Bulgarian singer who performs the hit of the legendary Emil Dimitrov- “My country, my Bulgaria” on his 30th anniversary. The song finds place in her album “Every thing has it`s time”.
         In 1995 Rossi Kirilova started her own TV show “For the animals with love” on Bulgarian National TV and satellite channel “TV Bulgaria”, that still amuses the pet lovers in Bulgaria and around the world. For 12years now she successfully combines the journalistic and the career of a singer. In 1999 she was announced for “The Ambassador Of Good Will” for UNICEF for Bulgaria and together with the composer Haigashod Agasyan and the writer Alexander Petrov create the anthem of UNICEF for Bulgaria.
         She has recorded 20 albums including 1 max single (The first max single in Bulgaria), 3 little gramophone records, 4 TV recitals- “Smile for me”, “Friends remain forever”, “Silence” and “God bless you”, 3 video albums – “Monologue for two”, “Without mask and make up” and “God bless you”, many concerts in Bulgaria, German, Finland, Romania, Sweden, Czech Republic, Russia ,Turkey and etc.. In 2006 Bulgarian National Television made documentary film-portrait about her career of a popsinger , journalist and composer. Rossi has sang with most popular Bulgarian singers as Panaiot Panaiotov, George Hristov, Karel Zich, Stefan Danailov, Bogdan Tomov, Nelly Rangelova (the first female duet), Mustafa Chaushev, Duet SHIK, Vanya Kostova, Mimi Ivanova, Dimitar Tudjarov-Shkumbata, Katsy Vapcarov, Boyan Mihailov and etc.
         Her album “Take the moment”/1992/ is the first Bulgarian CD album. This album raise Rossi again on the top and she was announced for “Singer of the year” in the chart of music house “Riva Sound”. Her most popular songs are: “Barefoot on the asphalt”, “Silence”, “There is a chance, there is no chance”, “Friends remain forever”, “Smile for me”, “Teacher,I kiss your hand”, “The best word”, “I choose specially you”, “Something incredible”, “Take the moment”, “The heart knows why…”, “Why did you hurt me like that?”, “Everything is love” and many others. Rossi is the singer who had sang the greatest number of children songs which are well known and loved from children and adults- “Song about the lost dog”, “My Barby doll”, “Mickey Mouse”, “The patch doll”, “Bananas with pijamas”and many others.
        This is Rossi- always natural, charming, spontaneous, one of the most favourite and loved Bulgarian singers.
